Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted at Breaking the Spine, and the object is to spotlight a book you are waiting patiently (or not-so-patiently, more likely) to read.
When does it come out? October 2012 (otherwise known as way way way far away)
Why am I waiting on this book? If you are asking this question, clearly you haven't read Catching Jordan. If this is the case, you should! I was excited beyond belief for Catching Jordan because the summary sounded so similar to a favorite book of mine in middle school. It was not what I expected; Kenneally threw in a twist. And I loved every minute of it! It was a great book. My friend and I discussed the possibility of a sequel at length, deciding which characters it would feature. We obviously didn't come up with this, as it features main characters that are only connected loosely to the first, as far as I can tell. But this one looks so good! I always love a baseball setting in books, even though I am not a fan of watching it (I'm much more of a football girl). The premise sounds fascinating; I can't wait to see what Kenneally will do with it. The cover is super cute. Basically, this book cannot get here fast enough! It's going to be great.
Sidenote: I am still holding out for a sequel featuring Jordan's older brother. If I can will a book into existence purely from determination, this will totally happen.
